It can be so confusing to decide which is the best, MRR V PLR, the answers.

Without the correct information this can be hard, so, let’s change that so you can make a choice.

Let me clear a few things up, MRR v PLR can be a tough choice, just remember both are digital products

Each have their own merits.

Master Resell Rights (MRR) V Private Label Rights (PLR) differences.

Both have their own merits, both will help you make money online.

Each can be resold but, that’s where the differences end, now, let’s break them down.

Basic MRR Example:

If you buy a car; you can use it but, you can also sell it if you wish.

Once you’ve can sell it the buyer can then do the same, use it or resell it again to someone else.

You can make repairs, upgrades, change colours and so on but, what you cannot do is claim you are the manufacturer.

Real world examples of Master Resell Rights MRR v PLR

Tim either creates or buys a Master Resell Rights product, he now sells this to Jane, Jane now sells this on to Dave.

Both Jane & Dave were given MRR allowing them to do this, they can continue to sell on Tims original product with MRR rights.

This continues allowing whoever they sell it to the right to sell it on to others.

MRR v PLR differences

Master Resell Rights (MRR) limitations, rights, benefits, and rules.

  1. By either creating or buying a ready-made MRR product you gain the rights to sell it on, you also can pass on these rights.
  2. There can be limitations to these rules of MRR products and rights can vary form product, seller & conditions.
  3. Always remember to read ALL information before buying any MRR product to make sure you fully understand any limitations.
  4. You can of course (if a template is provided) change images, edit links, add text & pages but again, check each products terms & conditions.
  5. What you CANNOT do is claim “Authorship” or “Copyright”, unless course the seller has specifically allowed this.
  6. Most sellers of MRR allow you to give them away FREE but, some will say “cannot be given away free”.
  7. Some say “must not be sold for less than $…”, these are limitations added to their MRR licence.
  8. Therefore please remember, always check.

PLR limitations, rights, benefits, and rules.

PLR products are different.

You CAN claim “Authorship”, edit the covers, change its name, pretty much edit it any way you please.

These can also be resold but again, be wary as there maybe rules & limitation.

The flexibility of PLR makes it a good choice for websites, blogs, courses, creating your own version and more.

Real world example of PLR.

Tim buys a PLR product, edits it, deletes portions, sells the edited version to Jane, Jane can also change content & edit pretty much anything.

Jane can even claim it as her own & now sells it to Dave, both Jane & Dave were given PLR allowing them to do this.

Both can continue to sell on Tims original product or edited version passing on the  PLR rights because Tim gave permission to do this.

However, and this is important, most sellers of Private Label Rights will NOT allow you to sell the PLR rights to others.

Some sellers only allow you to sell the END PRODUCT!

Now, let me break this down for you as it is important!

PLR, product versions, rights and limitations.

A Word document:

This can be edited using MS Word or Google docs, but editability is clumsy and limited.

A PDF document:

Extremely limited as to what you can do with this unless you take the time to convert it to an editable format.

This one can be a real pain and generally only sold like this to limit your edit and resell rights.

An editable template such as Canva:

These, in my opinion are the best, why?

Because your editing limitations on content & design are unbeatable & unlimited.

Deciding which way to go?

Both PLR & MRR have their own benefits as we’ve discussed but, in the end it depends on your goals.

Do you want to sell a finished product or promote your brand and edit a product to suit those needs?

I like the diversity of BOTH and I sell both on my website, this gives my customers a choice too, so we both benefit.

The decision between MRR V PLR ultimately depends on your goals, resources, & preferences:

  • MRR products are a great choice to start selling products quickly without modifications, but you can if you wish.
  • PLR products are great if you want to make changes, edits, claim authorship & just sell the end product only.

Just remember, try stick to a “niche”, make sure you buy, edit, or sell good, high-quality products.

ALWAYS check the rights in either case BEFORE buying!

Either will give you a great advantage over those not sticking to all these requirements.

You can and will make a great entrepreneur if you go down either route and secure yours and your family’s financial futures.
